Take a class with an experienced, award-winning artist teaching a colored pencil class.
The purpose of the class is for a student to learn how to draw with colored pencils by exploring the different techniques. The instruction includes learning about colored pencil basic tools (paper, pencils etc), color theory, how to lay down color, layering the pencils, and different techniques to create a beautiful piece of art while continuing to developing your artist’s eye, to name a few. This is done though lecture, demonstrations, exercises and drawing. Basic drawing skills required.
The course objective is to teach people about colored pencils as a drawing medium, through examples and then practicing in and outside of class. Students will be able to pick projects they want to work on.
This is a course that can be repeated to improve skills or a person may start at any time and receive the basic education while seeing the progress of the other students.
This class is drop-in for $15.00 per session and you will be receiving lots of one on one instruction. Basic drawing skills are required. Each student decides which project they want to complete. You will be pleasantly surprised at your rate of progress.
Colored Pencil Supply List
Graphite – Required- F or HB or a mechanical pencil
Colored Pencil- what you have, or a 12 pack, you will build your collection depending on the project you are working on.
Drawing Pad 9×12 or larger
Masking tape- Optional
Drawing Board- Optional
