“The Magical World of Macro Photography”  by Katie Royce Zolezzi.

Katie enjoys a variety of types of nature photography, but macro is one of her favorites. For her it’s part escape, part meditation to photograph small plants and creatures in nature. Normal items take on an other-worldly appearance, and there is a sense of escaping to another place where you are seeing things for the first time. It’s a place of mystery, magic, and wonder. www.katieroycephotography.com

"Lucid Translations" is a new exhibition of Melanie Pearson’s vivid paintings. Gathering inspiration from the great outdoors, craft, human emotion and interaction, meditative visions, and captured moments from long ago, this show explores a wide variety of subject matter all executed in vibrant color. Layers of pattern, hues, and materials help tell the stories that inspired but also unfurl from each painting. Melanie Pearson is an artist and art teacher living in Eugene, Oregon. screamingowlstudio.com
