Alana Feldman
Alana FeldmanWorking with wet/dry graphite and ink is very rewarding for Alana. Graphite offers freedom and the washes give softness. The ink is the opposite and gives the element of directness and finality. It forces one to to make decisions and just go with the results. There is very little opportunity to fuss with it and hopefully some impression of spontaneity is achieved. Alana is an Oregon born artist who has been making art for as long as she can remember. She doesn’t stick to any one medium or style. She has to try everything. It is from curiosity that compels her to keep dabbling and experimenting. She works in all of the basic mediums of paint including oil, watercolor, acrylic and various techniques of printmaking as well as drawing with graphite, ink and oil pastels. She doesn’t limit herself to one type of subject, as painting and drawing people is as rewarding as landscapes and architecture. Being able to capture mood, emotion, temperature and the atmosphere that encapsulates her subject is her goal. Alana often works in series. A single subject will be worked in various versions, mediums and styles. By doing this it forces her to “see” the subject with more clarity and lets her “own” it.[/vc_column_text][vc_masonry_media_grid element_width="3" grid_id="vc_gid:1515696663320-76c53a05-84b5-1" include="1902,1901,1900,1899"]
