Sharon Heinz’s subtle watercolors celebrate the inherent beauty and mystery found in the natural world. She attempts, in her work, to explore the sub-surface layers of her subjects, allowing the viewer to form an emotional attachment to the painting.
Her formal training includes courses in Technical Illustration and Drafting at the college level and workshops with many leading watercolorists such as Zoltan Szabo, Tom Lynch, Eric Weigardt, Rex Brandt, Richard Yip and Millard Sheets.
While a resident of California, Sharon was a technical illustrator for GE Nuclear Graphics. Following her retirement, she moved to Oregon where she is able to devote her time and energy to watercolor painting.
