In the early 1980’s, Don began doing pen and ink, but quickly moved on to watercolor as his first choice. His primary interest is in painting realistic watercolors of landscapes, old buildings, and old city scenes. Don’s other lifelong interest is old hot rods, and he enjoys creating realistic representations of the hot rods and their surroundings.
He has had his work accepted for the Watercolor Society of Oregon’s Spring and Fall Shows, and has had shows at Valley Art Gallery in Forest Grove, Island Park Art Gallery, Framin’ ArtWorks, Washburne Café, and Art Like A Wheel Gallery in Florence. He is a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and the Emerald Empire Art Association.
Don was born in Seattle, spent years in California, and has lived in Eugene since 1971.
